Brandon High starting offensive lineman Chris Vassura will miss Friday’s game against East Bay with a knee injury and could miss up to three weeks.

Vassura suffered the knee injury in the second half of the Eagles (3-0) victory against Plant City last Thursday. Brandon coach John Lima said initial tests have ruled out a torn ACL or MCL and he expects Vassura back in the lineup in the next one to three weeks.
The senior lineman is a big part of the Eagles rushing success this season. Through three games, Brandon is averaging 299.7 rushing yards per game. Senior tailback Darius Lee leads the Eagles with 126.3 rushing yards per game average.
