Brandon’s Gwyn commits to Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Brandon senior catcher/third baseman Emilee Gwyn has verbally committed to Division I Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Brandon coach Jennifer Steadham said.
As a junior, Gwyn recorded three hits and six RBIS with six runs scored. Arkansas-Pine Bluff plays out of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The Lady Lions softball team went 10-31 overall and 6-10 in conference play. The Lady Lions lost in the SWAC tournament to Jackson State.
Steadham said Gwyn could sign next week and she officially visits the campus.
Last season, Brandon went 15-10 and lost int he district semifinals to Bloomingdale, 7-0.
