Brandon’s Garner out with MCL injury

Brandon senior running back Tyrell Garner will be held out of Thursday’s game against Jefferson with a MCL injury, coach John Lima said. Garner sustained the injury against East Bay last week.
“They said he could probably play but we’re going to hold him out,” Lima said.
Lima said Omar Ahmed will fill in at tailback while a combination of players will fill Garner’s spot on defense, where he played linebacker and safety.
Garner leads Brandon (5-4) with 1,159 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.
