Looks like the Pat Burrell-for-Milton Bradley deal won’t happen.
Several news outlets are reporting the Cubs will trade their talented and oft-troubled right fielder to the Mariners for pitcher Carlos Silva.

So, unless the Rays can find another team willing to take Burrell and his $9 million off their hands, it looks like Burrell will play out the final year of his two-year, $16 million deal at Tropicana Field.
That might not be so bad. Struggling players tend to improve when they are playing for next year’s contract.
