Sickles boys basketball coach Renaldo Garcia said on Tuesday the team has accepted an invitation to play in the Trusted Choice Tournament of Champions in Illinois during Thanksgiving weekend.
Sickles will play in the National Invitation Classic, a four-team bracket that includes teams from Illinois and texas. The tournament will include some of the top teams and players from the country.
Meanwhile, Sickles senior John Henson, the No. 3 ranked player in the nation according to several recruiting sites, said on Tuesday he is a solid verbal committment to North Carolina. Henson said he will make an official visit to UNC on Oct. 24, and will not visit any other school. The Tar Heels have the No. 1 rated recruiting class for 2009, according to ESPN.com.
