More proof you can bet on just about anything—if you have the right sports book.
Bookmaker sportsbet.com has tabbed Las Vegas Bishop Gorman as a 7.5-point favorite over Armwood when the Gaels host the Hawks in a nationally-televised game on Friday.
Along with such things as cricket, snooker, rugby and the stock market, sportsbet has established lines on several of this week’s high-profile prep football games. And No.2 Armwood playing No. 10 Gorman is one of the biggies.
Also on the prep football books, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas is a 5-point favorite over host Prattville, Ala., and Cocoa is an 8.5-poinnt underdog to host Colerain, Ohio.
When asked about the line on his game, Armwood coach Sean Callahan thought for a moment and said “Sounds about right.”
Not that Callahan and his staff will have any time for wagering on this trip. The team leaves Thursday afternoon and arrives in the early evening Las Vegas time. From the time the Hawks arrive until the time they leave Saturday morning, the coaches and players will have a tight schedule of meetings, walk-throughs, the game, meals and resting.
