One of the parents watching the Western Conference Diving Championships poolside on Wednesday, leaned over to another just as Bloomingdale’s Nick Wing-holt was getting ready to dive.
“He’s really good,” the mom said.
And she was right. Wing-holt put on quite a clinic at the Copeland Pool in claiming the boys Federal Division title. The Bloomingdale senior, who was eighth at state last year, scored the highest of the 18 divers competing with a 497.7.

The swimming portion of the Western Conference Championship takes place Saturday at the Bobby Hicks Pool.
