Bishop McLaughlin standout senior volleyball player Jessica Johnson committed to Norfolk State this past weekend.
Johnson, who helped the Hurricanes to a 13-6 record, the best in the program’s history, led the team with 256 kills and 79 aces this season and had a county-high with 328 kills and 201 aces in 2010.
Johnson and the Hurricanes host the 3A-8 district tournament starting Monday, looking to get past title-favorite, Tampa Prep and its own soon-to-be-collegiate commit: OH Katie Krueger, who is headed to Virginia Tech.
