Bishop McLaughlin looking for boys basketball coach

After just one season at the helm of the Bishop McLaughlin boys basketball program, Greg David will not return to that post next season.

“We have decided that it is in the best interest of our boys’ basketball program to move in a new direction and immediately begin a search for a new head coach,” Bishop McLaughlin Athletic Director Eddie Kenny said in an e-mail statement.  “I want to thank Greg David for his efforts and time this past season, and certainly wish him the very best in the future.”

David, who replaced Les Parker, who served in an interim basis the final half of the 2009-09 after Greg O’Connell resigned Jan. 2, 2009, was the third coach for the team in two seasons.
