According to ESPN, Thursday night’s football game between the University of South Florida and Cincinnati drew an 11.4 rating in the Tampa-St. Petersburg television market, the highest for an ESPN Thursday night game since 2007 (USF-Rutgers drew a 16.4 when the Bulls entered the game with a No. 2 national ranking).
Nationally, the game pulled a 2.5 rating in 50-some metered markets.

Sweet… that means 97.5% of the market share didn’t tune in to watch our typical October fall. Can we just play football in September and call it the season? It’ll be interesting to see which USF shows up for Pitt. It’ll be a very tough road game and The ‘Stache seems to have our number there.
