Berkeley’s Famiglietti headed to Swarthmore

Berkeley Prep senior Amber Famiglietti has committed to Division III Swarthmore College to continue her soccer career next fall.

Swarthmore, located just to the west of Philadelphia, has won three consecutive Eastern College Athletic Conference South Region title. Famiglietti, who plays club soccer for St. Petersburg’s Strictly Soccer, is the third member of the Buccaneers’ squad to commit to play college soccer, with Taylor Batye committed to Navy, and Taylor Richardson headed to Vanderbilt in 2011.

Famiglietti leads the Buccaneers with six assists, and has also scored six goals this season.
