Berkeley Prep boys soccer defender Mark Biddinger has committed to the University of Louisville, coach Tim Cooper confirmed Friday.
Biddinger, a four-year varsity player and starter, is a captain for the Buccaneers who are a region qualifier this season and will face Clearwater Central Catholic tonight at 7 p.m. to decide the 2A-9 district title.
Biddinger has two goals and two assists on the season and nine goals and 21 assists for his career with the Buccaneers.
“Mark is a good kid and very deserving,” Cooper said. “He’s the kind of kid, when he’s not working on school or at practice he’s putting the time in at the gym or out running. He’s getting everything out of this now, that he’s worked so hard putting into it and it’s fantastic.”
Berkeley Prep’s signing day will be next Wednesday at noon in the Dimmitt Gymnasium.
