Berkeley wins volleyball opener

The Berkeley Prep boys volleyball team won its season opener on Thursday, defeating District 2 foe Orlando Edgewater, 3-1.
Nick Burgess led the Buccaneers with 15 kills while Justin Vogel and John Belanger added 11 and eight kills, respectively.
Kyle Dagostino controlled the offense with 30 assists along with five aces.
With 117 teams across the state, there is only one single classification. Berkeley Prep is the only team on the west coast of Florida to have a boys volleyball program.
