Bucs wide receiver Arrelious Benn has some good hands, although unwrapping packs of football cards proved to be a challenge.
Benn was in Lake Buena Vista at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex this week for the Pop Warner Super Bowl, and he took some time to sit down with Panini America’s Scott Prusha to unwrap some packs of 2011 Gridiron Gear. Benn proved to be a little tentative opening packs, but Prusha showed him the way.
In a fun video posted by Panini, Benn talks about his card collecting days and his time in Pop Warner football. Prusha is an engaging interviewer. He got some comments out of Benn after pulling a Kellen Winslow Jr. card (“K2? He’s an animal.”), and also some thoughts about Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.
Prusha also got an interesting response when he asked Benn “if you could go ask anybody—any sport” for an autograph.
“Ronde Barber,” Benn said.
“Can’t you just go ask him?” Prusha said of the longtime Bucs star.
“I can ... I can,” Benn laughed, adding that he will someday get Barber to autograph his jersey for him.
Benn was relaxed and had a great time, and Prusha was the perfect foil.
