Bedford, Wilson cleared

DE David Bedford and CB Theo Wilson, both junior college transfers, received their academic clearance and participated in the University of South Florida’s first practice Monday afternoon.

Bedford, a sophomore from Independence Community College, and Wilson, a junior from Pearl River Community College, were the final two players still awaiting approval to begin practicing.

The Bulls’ first practice was delayed 30 minutes because of rain. We’ll have more later.

I guess our beat writer will have to find out something else to write about.

Hey brian from Raleigh...in case you couldn’t figure it out, I was just busting BMcM’ balls. Can I write ‘balls’ on a sports page blog?

Its hilarious Growler that you think Brett is being a punk in the other blog entry for belly aching over nothing with regard to the lack of access top new players and then you request in this thread that Brett do a follow-up report on some of the new guys. . . . . On the same day no less.

I’ll save everybody the trouble.  The new guys looked “strong”.

I can stop holding my breath now. I was apprehensive about Bedford. He had some crazy number of credits to finish before getting to USF and I wasn’ going to believe it until I saw it. This guy has a chance to be a super star. Think George Selvie, if Selvie started out as a DE. It’s nice to see Theo on board too. Theo may actually be more immediate help than anyone else in the class.
