Middleton third baseman Dexture McCall has verbally committed to play baseball at St. Petersburg College. He’ll sign a letter-of-intent on January 15.
Last season as a junior, McCall led the Tigers with his .556 batting average, scoring 30 runs, 27 RBIs, six home runs, six doubles and a triple. In 76 plate appearances for Middleton, McCall was walked 11 times and struck out just eight.
McCall will join a Titans squad that went 29-24 during the 2011 season and had three players drafted in the first 10 rounds of June’s Major League Baseball draft.
