Jesuit junior pitcher Bobby Hearn has verbally committed to Wake Forest, Tigers’ coach Richie Warren said via text Tuesday evening.

Hearn, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound left-hander, appeared in three games for the Class 5A state semifinalists Jesuit last season, posting a 1.75 ERA and an impressive 10 strikeouts in four innings of work.

Warren said Hearn has a fastball in the upper-80s and had interest from Florida Atlantic, North Carolina, Virginia and the University of Florida.
