Baldelli to DH tomorrow in Clearwater
MIAMI—Just a programming note for any of you back in the Bay interested in catching Rocco Baldelli while he’s in town with Vero Beach: Baldelli is scheduled to start at DH Wednesday afternoon at Clearwater, a change in the original plans.
Baldelli was supposed to start tonight and pinch-hit tomorrow, but the Rays flip-flopped his assignments because Clearwater will be starting a lefty in tomorrow’s noon game and they’d like to see Baldelli get the at-bats against him.
Beyond that, Baldelli is supposed to alternate DH and pinch-hitting duties the rest of the week for Vero on its swing through Clearwater and Sarasota.
