Armwood offensive lineman Brandon Teeling, who helped pave the way for 3,048 rushing yards by the Hawks’ ground game this fall, has made a verbal commitment to Samford (Ala.) University, head coach Sean Callahan announced Tuesday.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Teeling also had offers from Western Kentucky and Florida Atlantic University. After playing on the defensive side of the ball as a junior at Armwood, Teeling made an impressive switch to the offensive line last fall. He started all 15 games for the undefeated Hawks.
After moving from the Ohio Valley Conference in 2008, Samford joined the Southern Conference. The Bulldogs football team is part of the Football Championship Subdivision (Division II).
