Armwood junior receiver A.J. King is quickly emerging a big-time threat in the Hawks passing attack.
King had a huge night for the Hawks in Friday’s 49-0 rout of Wharton, finishing with eight receptions for 178 yards and two touchdowns. His yardage total was a school-record, according to Coach Sean Callahan, and his receptions total was one short of tying the school mark.
King’s big game against the Wildcats followed up another impressive performance the previous week in the Hawks’ big win over Tampa Bay Tech. In that game, King hauled in seven passes for 86 yards and a touchdown to help the Hawks edge the Titans, 9-6.
