Armwood coach Sean Callahan, who led the Hawks to a perfect record of 15-0 and the Class 6A state football championship, has been selected as American Football Monthly’s Southeast Regional Coach of the Year.
For Callahan, the 6A crown was his third state championship and second perfect season of his career. The Hawks finished the season ranked No. 2 in the nation in ESPN’s final prep football poll and No. 3 in two other polls. In all three rankings, Armwood was the top public school.
