Armwood finishes No. 2 in national poll

ESPN and MaxPreps have posted their final polls of the 2011 prep football season and while New Jersey’s Don Bosco Prep is the consensus No. 1 on each list, Armwood High has finished tops in the nation among public schools for each ranking.

Armwood wound up No. 2 on the ESPN’s final “Fab 50” poll while the Hawks ended the season No. 3 on the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national rankings.

Plant, meanwhile, cracked the top 10 of MaxPreps with a No. 9 finish and took the No. 13 spot on the final ESPN poll.
