Hillsborough County:

Area Prospects Make Rivals Top 100


Some of the top rising seniors in Hillsborough and Pinellas County made the most recent Rivals.com Florida Top 100 list.

Plant’s Aaron Murray (photo), who has committed to Georgia, was the highest rated recruit at No. 6. One of the top quarterbacks in the nation, Murray set the Florida state record as a junior with 51 touchdown passes, along with 4,012 passing yards. He has also accepted an invitation to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Plant tight end Orson Charles was the next highest rated recruit at No. 10. Charles has also accepted an invitation to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Others to make the list include Armwood defensive end Ryne Giddens (No. 15); Gaither RB Jarvis Giles (Tennessee commit, No. 16); Alonso DT Demonte McAllister (No. 22); Dunedin RB Adaris Bellamy (USF commit, No. 46); Chamberlain QB/Athlete Dontae Aycock (No. 48); Chamberlain DT Dontavious Pyron (No. 57); Largo LB Mike Marry (No. 72); Lakewood DB Jacquez Jenkins (No. 73); Armwood LB Petey Smith (No. 74); St. Pete Catholic OL Jon Halapio (No. 78); Armwood QB/Athlete Mywan Jackson (No. 80) and Armwood DB Angelo Hadley (No. 90).

Murray is Good and will end up being great. Marve is the best H.S. QB I’ve seen in person, but Murray is just a few players behind. Plant will be tough with him behind center and Charles and Sampson on each side of him.
