According to a post on Ty’Shon Peters’ Facebook page, the senior two-way standout will no longer be a member of the Gulf football team.
Buccaneers coach Tom Carter could not confirm or neither deny that Peters was on the team or not.
This is not Gulf’s first go around with trouble this season. After the Buccaneers’ 42-0 season-opening loss to Brooskville Nature Coast, Carter dismissed freshman quarterback Keshaun Peters, Ty’Shon’s brother, citing actions detrimental to the team for the cause. Peters was reinstated a couple days later to the team in time to play vs. Mitchell.
Ty’Shon Peters was receiving interest from several D-I schools as an athlete according to Rivals.com, including Miami (FL), Oregon, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech and USF.
Peters did not play in Gulf’s 41-14 loss to Fivay last Friday and in the senior’s last game he played for the Buccaneers vs. Zephyrhills (41-14 loss), the 5-foot-11 receiver had five catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

He should’ve never been on the team do to not having the grades. He has never wanted to work and wanted everything handed to him. His favorite saying is “I’m D 1” He has caused that program nothing but problems for years now. Carter will beg him to come back just like he did his brother. The only interest he has had from schools are the form letters they send out to every male that has a pulse and a mailing address. His stats grow everytime just like fish that got away. He should go back to Anclote but he can’t cause his ride is now at Fivay. His teammates aren’t even upset he’s gone. They were tired of his big ego & attitude & practice skipping. The only way he is a standout is now he can stand out side the fence & watch.
