Tampa Catholic’s Micah Kroll is the latest girls basketball player to join the 1,000-point club.
And she isn’t the only Kroll on her school’s list.
The senior guard joins her father, Mike Kroll, who is the Crusaders fifth all-time leading scorer. Mike Kroll, a member of Tampa Catholic’s Hall of Fame, scored 1,485 points from 1969-72.
Micah Kroll scored nine points in the Crusaders 67-47 loss to Indian Rocks Christian to surpass the 1,000-point mark. A starter on the Crusaders back-to-back state championship teams the past two seasons, Kroll’s hoping to get back to Lakeland for the fourth-straight year. Tampa Catholic advanced to the Final Four for the first time in school history Micah’s freshman season.
