GAINESVILLE—The University of South Florida Bulls remained tied 7-7 with the Florida Gators midway through the third quarter.
USF RB Demetris Murray, who began a drive with a 33-yard run, lost a fumble from the UF 16-yard line. It rolled forward and was recovered by Gators LB Duke Lemmens.
The Bulls now have 189 rushing yards, but two big mistakes (including an interception by Bulls QB B.J. Daniels nearing halftime) have thwarted USF’s efforts.
