Jesuit’s Daniel Gibson has collected his second All-American honor this week.
Gibson was named Thursday to Baseball America’s 2010 High School All-American Team as a second-team pitcher. The honor comes after the Tigers standout was named earlier this week to the 2010 Louisville Slugger All-American Team.
Gibson, a left-handed pitcher who was also The Tampa Tribune’s Baseball Athlete of the Year and the state Class 4A player of the year, went 14-1 with a 1.64 ERA in his final season at Jesuit and led the Tigers to the Class 4A state title game.
Gibson was the only local player to make Baseball America’s squad. You can view the entire team HERE.
