Alonso rising senior Tifani Mullen has verbally committed to Florida State, Alonso girls soccer coach Scott Cunningham confirmed.
Mullen scored 14 goals with 13 assists last season for the Ravens, which advanced to the Class 6A-District 7 semifinals.
Cunningham said FSU has been in close contact with Mullen the last few months and were very interested.
“(FSU liked) her ability to see the field, her technique, her shot, she’s the entire package,” Cunningham said.
Mullen was named a Tribune All-Hillsborough County Honorable Mention as a junior.
FSU recently claimed the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation for 2008, according to Soccer Buzz. The Seminoles lost to USC in the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament Championship this past season.
