A select few Hillsborough County football players were invited to participate in the Army All-American National Combine last month in San Antonio, Texas. Some of those took advantage of the national exposure.

In addition to Plant’s James Wilder earning MVP honors and Tampa Catholic’s Hunter Joyer making honorable mention, Alonso’s Anthony Chickillo was named to the first team defensive line.
The underclassmen participated with nearly 500 players from across in the country in an NFL-like combine which included a variety of drills.
Chickillo’s been opening eyes for awhile. He currently has several Division I offers from various college programs, including Florida, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina and Wake Forest.
He picked up more offers on Tuesday when Kansas and Louisville became the latest to join the growing list of options.
