Alonso’s Bennett continues the ride

And then there were two.

Alonso’s C.J. Bennett left for Hawaii Tuesday morning to participate in the annual Hawaii All-Star Football Classic. He’s one of two quarterbacks from the reality show “The Ride” who will compete in the game at Aloha Stadium.

The television show began with eight quarterbacks from across the country showcasing their talents through a variety of drill competitions. Bennett and Cole Marcoux from New York will each lead different squads in the all-star game on Saturday, while coaches from Football University evaluate their performances and ultimately select one of them to participate in next month’s U.S. Army All-American Game.

“The Ride” airs locally on Sun Sports every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Bennett recently withdrew his commitment to Wyoming and hopes the exposure from the show will help with more college offers.
