Members of the Alonso 2011 Class 6A state championship baseball team will get some jewelry Friday morning, according to coach Landy Faedo.
Nearly four months after beating Deltona, 12-7, inside Port St. Lucie’s Digital Domain Park, the Ravens will be presented with their championship rings. That victory in May gave the program its second title in three years.
This is the latest recognition for the team after being honored last Thursday by the Board of County Commissioners. That took place during a meeting inside the second-floor boardroom at County Center.
The ring ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m. inside the school’s media center.
