When the Bulls got back to town after Saturday’s victory in the International Bowl, senior S Nate Allen took a couple of well-deserved days off.
Allen has since returned to training for the Senior Bowl later this month and has also started the next phase of his career, signing with agent Todd France and France AllPro Athlete Management.
Allen joins a lengthy list of player represented by France’s Atlanta-based firm, including current NFL players Ronnie Brown, Brian Westbrook, Vernon Davis and Ray Rice. In the 2009 NFL Draft, France represented first-round selections Larry English, Vontae Davis and Kenny Britt.
According to ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper, Allen currently listed as the third-best senior safety prospect.
During his career at USF, Allen had a knack for making big plays. He started and played in every game during the last three seasons, including a standout performance in an upset win over Auburn in 2007 in which Allen had an interception, fumble recovery and forced fumble. He later added a fumble recovery and interception in the win over No. 5 West Virginia that same season.
Prior to leaving Toronto, Allen felt optimistic about his NFL prospects.
“It should be fun going to the Senior Bowl and the combine,’’ he said. “I feel good. I’m ready to go. This is what I’ve been working toward.’’
