The Academy at the Lakes six-man football team knocked off Solid Rock Academy, 57-6, Thursday in New Port Richey.
“Things are looking up,” head coach John Castelamare said. “They’re just doing a pretty good job. They listen.”
According to Castelamare, the win was a team effort, led by quarterback Austin Carlson, running back Jarrett Harvey – who is averaging more than 200 yards a game – and fullback/wingback Luke Warner.
Thursday’s game was originally scheduled to be played last Friday, but had to be rescheduled due to field conditions. The Wildcats (2-2) will host Countryside Christian 7:30 Friday night at the Land O’ Lakes Recreation Center on Collier Parkway.
