ST. PETERSBURG Alex Rodriguez will try for his 600th home run this weekend at Tropicana Field.
History says he has a good chance of getting it at the Trop, where he has hit 21 of his 43 career home runs off 29 different Rays pitchers.
His first homer at the Trop came on May 28, 1998 off Jason Johnson. It was a solo home run in the third inning of a 5-2 Seattle win. Jamie Moyer was the winning pitcher that night.
Jason Hammel has been the most-victimized Ray, having allowed four A-bombs from A-Rod.
Estaban Yan and Andy Sonnanstine have allowed three each.
