Senior Chase Boswell is a two-year starting offensive lineman for the Wharton football team. Boswell (6-foot-2/230 lbs.) will also be spending some time at linebacker. He answered a few questions before practice on Tuesday.
Wharton had a tough loss in the playoffs to Chamberlain last season (lost on a last second field goal in region quarterfinals). How has that motivated this year’s team?
We all need to become more of a team. When we lost to Chamberlain, we all became one group instead of 42 individuals. That motivated me to get the whole team like that.
Why should opponents worry about Wharton’s offensive line this year?
One, we’re underrated. People don’t expect us to be good so when they come out there and we hit hard and play hard, people are going to start seeing a new line at Wharton. That gives us more motivation to be as good as we can be.
Into fantasy football?
Of course.
Who’s going to be your No. 1 draft pick?
That would definitely have to be Peyton Manning
Over Tom Brady?
Patriots? Overrated team. I’ll tell you what, I’ll take the Colts over the Patriots any day. The Patriots did go to the Super Bowl but who’d they lose to? The Giants. The Giants were underrated.
