This week Mayor Pam Iorio enacted to charge new structures for the costs of building the giant water main. Should there have been public hearings and vote by city council? Is it fair to charge developers? Tell us what you think.

I applaud this decision by the mayor. Developers are making millions and can afford this small expense. Opposition by developers is expected because the rich always want to get richer.
All the development, which is rapidly increasing the amount of time I spend sitting in traffic, is not benefitting me and I should not have to pay for improvements made necessary by others.

All new development should be charged for ALL infra structures including water lines, drainage, schools, roads, etc. Developers are responsible for the cost of all that is needed to complete their projects….not the taxpayer.
