I have a 26 yo nephew in TAMPA who the county keeps letting off with no penalities for fighting carrying firearms, DWI, driving with no license, domestic violence threatening to shoot a gf and her 5 year old son. He does not pay his probation. No punishment is given and my nephew uses this to pursue the freedom to do anything he wants. He has threatened to kill his mother, pulled a gun on her boyfriend all with apparent immunity. Nothing has been done. I think IF the judicial system acting in their professional capacity let these criminals walk free amongst us and things like this will happen. It does not take a rocket scientest to know a bad seed. Repeat history is a pretty good indicator.

Police and Us military are not heroes. As a former public defender in Tampa Deputy Matt Williams clearly got whaty he deserved.I read that the black homelerss victim was killed by 10 police ogffiocers and shot over 64 times. Will a fair and objective investigation be done into this homeless man’s murder by police?

Deputy Matt Williams got what he deserved. Like all cops he got what was coming.  What about condolences for the victim of police murder? The real mquestion is will there be an objective and fair investigation into murder by cops?

One of the nicest pieces I’ve seen on TV recently is the tribute to the slain police officer and his dog that is being shown on CBS (Channel 10).

It really touches the heart.

My prayers and sincere wishes of condolence go out to this officer and his family - to his fellow officers - and to all the men and women who serve in the capacity of protecting us - be it as police officers or our military.

Thank you!

I was at the Hillsbourgh k-9 & aviation unit on thursday when all this was unfolding, I can tell you the officers there, lost two fellow family members. And that touched me the dedication the officers give everyday for citizens of Florida. Matt & Diogi are heros in my book. My prayers are with his family, and his fellow officers. God bless these heros.

I’ve often thought that heaven wouldn’t be heaven without dogs. I’d like to imagine officer Matt and officer Diogi taking a perpetual walk in heaven’s many parks while they wait for the rest of the family.

God Bless

God Bless Matt’s family.  May they find comfort in the memories.

And in knowing that there are people all over Florida and beyond who appreciate and honor what their loved one did and gave for ALL of us.

Thank you Matt.

Today is the saddest day there has been in Polk County for many years. Today our Law Enforcement and Mrs.Williams will lay to rest one of the finest deputy around. All you had to do was meet this man on time and he left a lifetime impression on you.
To Mrs. Williams and the children: My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time of sorrow.
To Our Law Enforcement: Our prayers and thoughts are with you also at this time, but I would also like to THANK YOU FOR PROTECTING THIS COUNTY!!!

God Bless everyone involved: From the family, to the deputy’s, to the dispatchers of the Sheriff’s department that handle the situation on that God awful day.

My family and I live in Tampa for the winter. We will pause for a long moment here at 11:00 am here to remember a human being that lost his life protecting us all. WE all owe that man honor and respect for what he did. We are so sorry and surely wish the deputies family the best. They sure did loose “THE BEST”!

May the Lord comfort them in this time of grief.

May Matt and DiOGi’s souls rest in peace today and for eternity.  Their murderer has been caught and dealt with accordingly.  I hope that today brings closure to Matt; family and friends who will miss him terribly.

I am honored to say that I am from Polk County and that Officer Williams will be laid to rest in the same area as my father. May Officer Williams rest and peace. God Bless his family. Also may God Bless this Nation.
