Did you watch President Bush’s 2006 State of the Union address on Tuesday night? Did he answer your questions, or leave you asking more? This is the place to tell us what you think.

I think that it is a good idea to use the illegal aliens in military service. They would be required to serve two (2) years consecutive in the U.S. military before being granted citizenship. I think that this solution will be a starting point in our effort to stop the flow of illigal aliens crossing our borders.

A proposal to ease the burden from illegal aliens:
1. Set up forced patriotization and immediately send the illegals to bootcamp in Cuba.
2. After 8 weeks of military bootcamp ship the illegals to Iraq to fight the war.
3. Within 3 months the illegals would stop crossing the Mexican border, as soon as the word was out about the impending journey to Iraq.

If you really want to make a difference, rid your own party of the Kerrys, Kennedys, Clintons and Deans (and others of their ilk) and rebuild around a centrist figure, none of those figures are winning you any points. If nothing else, every time Kennedy appears on TV, it polarizes the opposition. If the democrats run another candidate like anyone in that crew, they will lose again. And again.
Take a page out of the Clinton/Carter plan, get a small southern state governor that no one knows, polish him up real nice and run him ... and hope for the best.

To the über-liberals who are convinced that the President is an idiot, liar, scofflaw, thief, etc ... your logic is based on “fuzzy math” ... if all these things were happening so blatantly, don’t you think that they minority party would do at least as much as the then minority put Clinton through?
And give up with the WMD crap, the entire world thought it was there, and much of the world still thinks that it could be there (or in neighboring countries) ... part of the real fear of these weapons is that they can be contained in such small space ... for example, “quick, find the buried vial of Anthrax in California” ... we’re still finding fighter jets that were buried by the Iraqis in 1991 ... Give it up.

George Herbert Walker Bush-Dumb, Jeb Bush-Dumber, George Walker Bush-Dumbest. Oh God, lets get out of the Bushes!!!!!!!

Bush supports traditional family values. It’s the only thing he’s done right. America’s future & world-standing have been harmed.
We don’t have plenty of our own oil; bone-up on reserves-vs-usage facts. Those who don’t support the war have NOT forgotten 9-11. All agree that we need to prevent terrorism, but few believe 9-11 is the real reason Bush pushed for this war.
To The Democrats: Move right; pick-up the support of the American majority, the middle-of-the-road families that you lost by embracing the “everything goes” politically-correct immorality of the far-left liberals. Come back to center and relocate your homebase. Speak strongly about traditional-family moral issues and don’t worry about losing “Hollywood.”

We lost our son in Iraq in 2004. One of the hardest things to do is bury a child. We still feel that we have to finish over there and just not leave it the way it is now. My son died for a reason and right now it is an unfinished reason. Just like President Bush stated, do you want the fighting there or here?

The pathetic ramblings of a “man” who has gotten so far over his head he has no sense of where he is or what to do next, save to babble on about WMD’s, “staying the course” and calling folks who ask for real, truthful answers “defeatists”. Hang it up, George! Go back to Crawford and crack open that bottle of Jack you have so long craved before you do any more damage to the U.S and the world.

Saying we are addicted to oil and we have to get off of it is kind of like a drug dealer telling his junkies to get off drugs.

I am amazed, and quite frankly appalled, that the man leading our country still refers to WMD, as if Americans have forgotten that there were none. That he can stand in front of us and talk about a stronger America and fighting for Iraqi freedom while he is illegally wire-tapping and eavesdropping on our citizenry is terrifying. If we give away our freedom by condoning this, will it be better than having it taken from us?

I read about the speech on the internet and media, I had more productive things to do with my time. I feel anyone can say anything but the action speaks and so far, we have all words but no action. I am in prayer for the new leadership that comes into office after one of the worst administrations ever serving.

I turned off the speech when he trotted out the false fear-mongering phrase: ‘weapons of mass destruction’. I cannot believe that he has such a firm belief in the stupidity of the American people. Our leader is a pompous fraud.

The President said we have to stand-up in Iraq. In war if you stand-up, you become a target… Since the President is not a veteran, he does not understand this.
If democracy is forced upon the people of Iraq. I ask, is that FREEDOM? The president troops sent to Iraq to free the Iraqis.
Our President has his head buried in the sand.

I voted against Gore, not because I thought Bush was an answer to anything. I voted for Bush the second time because I discovered a pride in being American that Nixon and Carter had found a way to destroy. The speech last night, offered the Dems a chance to join in a constructive way, rather that lobbing grenades without any ideas of their own. We need balance and strength of conviction in Washington, not slogans and mud slinging. So far George Bush is the only one who gets it.

Being a wife of a deployed soldier I have to believe that our President is doing the right thing. He is President during harder times in decision making. My 8 year old son and I are giving 18 months of being with my husband. We have to be proud of what we are doing. Remember the reason we are in this situation. Yes, we need to probably look at a few things and change the angle that we as a nation are approaching certain things and work it out. Rome wasn’t built in a day! What we need to do is PRAY FOR PEACE.

I am sick of everybody crying that President Bush lied. How can they forget the three thousand american citzens that went down with the towers? The only way for the country to bet this mess is to continue to go after those who would destroy us and one way to do this is cut the purse strings by drilling our own oil that we have plenty of.

The President has had to lead this country through the most difficult time in our history. He’s done a commendable job in spite of the liberal media lies and left wing propoganda. Thank God he’s in charge right now…

The President has lied to us so many times that we can’t and will not believe him. Yet, he is a person that doesn’t make mistakes!! just ask him?

He’s been one sorry disappointment. The issue on oil dependence begs for leadership and courage to take action, why don’t we have a federally funded research program like Kennedy did for space travel? I am also revolted at the purposeful fear mongering of american citizens - this war was a poorly considered plan to help ensure stability in our oil plan - liars become known for what they are and people lose faith. Please be honest and treat us with respect - I’m ready for which ever politician comes next.
