More owners are petitioning Hillsborough County’s Value Adjustment Board, saying the county has placed too high a tax value on their property. Emotions are running high, as well. Hillsborough county has gone way overboard with their assessments over the last 6 or so years. To live in this county on less than a 1/3 of an acre with setbacks at or about 15 feet per residence, neighbors pratically in your living room, is ridiculous!
Expansion is happening with poor planning!

Over the past several years, homeowners have bragged to friends or anyone who would listen, the appreciated/increase home value from their initial investment. Real Estate appraiser were extremely unrealistic of the actual value of their homes assements. did they complain? No. They gloated on what business geniuses they were. They list their homes ten’s of thousands over market value, yet balk at paying the property value assessments of the rewards they wish to reap.
