LAST CALL FOR SENSIBLE DRINKING!!
It’s about time!
I ran a nightclub years ago during the time bartenders were being held responsible for over-imbibing patrons.
After a few drinks most good judgement
goes to hell and the drinker continues on,beyond “sensible"amounts.
Most will find help from friends, others
arrogantly drive or become a nuisance.
Alcohol is a dangerous “DRUG” also.
Any inebriant substance can be dangerous
We can begin to save lives by limiting
consumption where it starts.
Anyone that wants to drink beyond their limits seeks oblivion.
This is one way to care for the careless!

As most will say “we have more important matters” please stay out of this one as well. I will keep saying “ we have more important matters” as soon as someone with courage will stand up for them. Quit taking the public for fools by playing with strip bars etc… fix the infrastructure and quit the spending of tax $ like our federal goverment on waste aka in Charlotte county “ like drunken sailors.

What the mayor is driving at here is to limit the “sensationalism” of drinking which is a good thing as most of us will agree. Will it make people drink less? Probably not, neither did prohibition.
