U.S. Sugar Corporation has played an ongoing role in the destruction of the Florida Everglades and they’re worried that, as Florida’s Governor, Jim Davis would push for more cleanup and restoration of this remarkable ecosystem.
Help us stop their misleading attacks! I urge you to condemn the ads.
These ads are misleading. Even one of the men quoted in the ads described them as “typically dirty politics”. And, as you’ve probably seen in the news, Davis and his supporters have refuted the sugar company-funded attacks.
Almost $1.7 million has been spent on ads and flyers like these—coming from U.S. Sugar.

I suggest that you read a bit of history related to the topography of the system here. Lake Ponschartrain, Rigolets Pass, search Google - see wikipedia article on Lake Pontchartrain.
Any 10+ foot storm surge approaching from the eastern side of the city pushes a tidal wave of water from the Gulf Of Mexico into backwaters that result in rising levels into Lake Pontchartrain, ultimately breaching the levees and possibly flooding New Orleans

Funny how Mississippi, under the leadership of a Republican governor, hasn’t sat on it’s hands and waited for government handouts even though they had most of the worst damage. They got right to rebuilding. Yet the liberal dim-ocrats of NOLA sit around, point fingers at each other and cast blame in the “chocolate city”.

A year after Hurricane Katrina, and still no reconstruction for the Home Owner’s, I say hang the Mayor, that’s doing this to his own people.
There’s a bumpy road no matter where one goes.
“Ernesto”, that’s a Hispanic name, in a way, it makes one wonder, that the Hispanic’s have found another way to enter the United States, through the back door again, and become another illegal here in the United States of America.
Time to ‘Git-R-Done!’.....

Mayor Nagin of New Orleans has proven himself to be a racist, towards white people, by the comments he’s made in the recent past.
And, by the comments he’s made about New York City and other things, he’s also proven himself to be a man of no class! To me he’s an embarrassment to New Orleans, yet the people of New Orleans voted him in office yet again. What does that tell you?
Also, I have almost no confidence in our government in it’s preparedness in regards to responding to a national catastrophe. Sad.
