As we mark the third anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, do you think we’ve made any strides? Has your opinion of the war changed during the past three years? What are your reflections on the war? Tell us what you think.

After a tour in the Vietnam Era it’s easy to say “Bring em Home”.
On the other hand it wouldn’t be masculine to pull out or withdraw!!
Nearly everyone whines about Geo B.
yet our efforts in Iraq have been beneficial for those that produce goods
and munitions to support our troops.
Many have benefited yet they whine and moan.
Ambivalence,hypocrisy…Whiners!

I am tired of the far-right screaming Democrats are against Bush. I voted for Bush in 2000 as a registered Republican.
After watching George W. Bush destroy American jobs, destroy America’s economic prosperity for 4 years, I switched to Independent.
I support our troops 100%. The result of the Iraqi War is to shift the killing offshore, to Iraq and Afghanistan, and NOT the U.S. mainland.
George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, and Dick Cheney have provided a theatre of engagement - Iraq - this shift offshore is NOT a solution to a Holy War.

This sounds like the same thing that our Anti-American protesters said during the Viet Nam war. They kept up the anti war BS and our troops in Nam paid the price. But to hang the nazi flag is really going too far. If you don’t like this country there is no chain to your butt. And you so-called experts on 9-11 and Al-quida don’t know one tenth of the facts. Check out the audio parts of the link below.

today, 3/20/06, our hand-picked stooge, the prime minister of vietraq says it’s “a civil war”. our president* says, “not so.” before this fiasco began i predicted “the islamic republic of iraq” within ten years. guess i was wrong. how does “2007 or 2008” sound?
thanks, george!!

This was a mistake and has cost lives and a trillion US dollars, and for what?
An Iranian puppet regime, the leader of iraq wont even shake hands with women. The country will eventually go into civil war. You cant force a country to be what you want it to be… It’s the middle east after all. Its not like Germany and Japan after ww2

Just for clarification, the reason that I hung the American flag with the nazi flag (and it killed me to do it, but if the shoe fits…) is because this country is turning away from democracy and “WE the People…” to a CEO run government.
Should anyone else fail to see the symbolism of the two, I would be more than happy to give specific examples within recent events that depict what I am pointing to.
Peace,
Jenn.

we owe it to the current troops and to future generations of americans and the world to neverever allow our “leaders” to lie to us again, to the degree that this current cabal of pathological liars has lied to us—about 9/11, about osamabeenforgotten, about saddam (who was our trusted ally and received billions from us during the iran-iraq war). today, 3/20/06, neither our hand-picked stooge for leader of iraq nor our president* can even get their stories straight. civil war or no civil war? lieslieslieslieslieslies!!

My position on the war has not changed. I was aginst going into Iraq and still am. I felt going into Afghanistan and after Al-Qaida was the correct action. Saddam Hussein was contained. He was surrounded by countries hostile to his goverment. There was both a North and South No-Fly Zone. He was not going to do anything of major proportions that threatened the security of our country or any other country for that matter. Now, tens of thousands of lives later, billions of dollars later we have dug ourself into a pretty deep hole. We need to quit digging. One in five of our country’s children go to bed hungary at night, many can not afford the medical care they need, our country’s school systems are a shame. And, yet, we dig and dig and dig.
