Immigration Bill Shelved

The Senate sidetracked sweeping immigration legislation Friday. The bill gained only 38 votes on a key procedural test, far short of the 60 needed to advance.

Illegal immigration is at historical highs. As Congress debates solutions, some say kick them out. Others say no, they may be illegal but they have lives here and employers need them. Part of the answer 20 years ago was an amnesty, while today the very word is a deal breaker. What changed?

Amnesty?  Are you kidding me?  Let’s say we let the 11 million illegal aliens become “legal”.  What happens in 5 years when there’s another 5 million NEW aliens are here.  Amnesty is a sissy way out and just a band-aide.  Kick them all out and let them go through the same process that alot of immagrants go through.  Obey the law and become a citizen legally.

I think the thing to do is stop them from entering, and stop all illegals workers, its not fair that they work for 5 to 7 dollars p/hour there not slaves and i think thats the main reason congress cant decide, because they know workers want cheap paying employees. But whats important is what Americans need like coupons, food and shelter for us.Lets fight our wars and our poverty before anyone else’s,WE ARE the one’s who pay taxes, they know what they have to do,but lack of balls is stopping them from making the right decisions. And its not jut a few Mexicans that are looking for work and shelter, its millions and we dont have it to supply it.WAKE UP!HOW CAN ILLEGAL RESIDENTS FIGHT FOR RIGHTS IN A COUNTRY THEY ARE NOT EVEN LEGAL IN!

The Senate has to stop worrying about the immigration bill and send troops to stop the crossings. Then start the process of a bill on how to handle the illegals. The key word is “illegal” (which most people do not seem to know what it means) Make them follow the laws that everyone else has to follow. I know there are many hard workers, but there are just as many criminals. Also give the students that left school grounds an F for the day and fire the workers that did not show up for work.

Why is the United States Being bashed for not wanting illegals here. Check out other countries they have very tight borders. They won’t let them in why should we? We have people in our own country that is hungry and wanting an oppertunity, then someone from another country comes in and gets it. Oppossed to someone who was born and raised here in the United States. I say CLOSE THE BORDERS AND DEPORT THEM NOW......

hah! and pshaw!!  the major issue here is the color of the folks skin and that they speak with accents.  PERIOD!!  were these “illegal immigrants” white and spoke some form of english....well, “Welcome to Amerika!!”

The failure to secure our borders and to enforce our immigration laws has put the sovereignty of the United States at risk.  As a candidate for the Florida United States Senate and a descendant of the Seminole Indians, who lost the sovereignty of Florida to the massive invasion of Americans in the 1800s, if elected, I will make sure that history does not repeat itself.

Curbing immigration in this country is not only a necessity but should be mandatory.
We are now begining to support Mexico by taking on so many illegals no matter how they got here.
Real citizens of this country are displaced and disenfranchised because of hurricanes and floods yet they suffer still for help.
Cut the bull and start taking care of our own in earnest instead of caring for so many coming across our borders.
Mexico really does little to stop the illegals and it would seem as though the Mexican government welcomes it.
We are no longer the land of the foreign refugee seeking help for a better life, we are the land of bursting borders, dwindling resources and unemployment.
Take of U.S. first!!

I WANT OUR LEADERS TO THINK FIRST ABOUT PRESSING NEEDS, LACK OF FUNDING TO PAY FOR PROVIDED SERVICES (like mandated subsidized health care, food stamps, subsidized housing, translation fees and bi-lingual education,in communities with budget deficits) THAT ARE A DIRECT EFFECT OF OUR GOVERNMENT NOT ENFORCING LAWS AND REFUSING TO FUND DHS TO DO SO.  I BELIEVE THAT EMPLOYERS ARE ASKING US TO SUBSIDIZE CHEAP LABOR, UNDERMINING OUR ECONOMY.  LIVING WAGES EQUALS INCREASED EMPLOYMENT THAT IS NOT A RESULT OF WORKING MULTIPLE JOBS JUST TO SURVIVE. WE SHOULD FIRST STAND UP FOR THOSE MOST AFFECTED BY THIS ISSUE..AMERICAN TAX-PAYERS WHO ARE BEING REQUIRED PAY FOR ALL THIS CHEAP LABOR.

While illegal immigration is at a historical high, and many people believe it is strictly of the Mexican population If this bill and others are passed; it won’t just apply to the Mexican citizens.  An open invitation might as well be sent to any and all illegal citizens; to include those that we are fighting to keep out! To avoid the “War on Terror.” You can’t just write a bill and have it contain the words “Illegal Immigrantion under our terms are invited in the US,” limitations and exact wording must be included to avoid an overall “Welcome Sign” other wise it will be legal for any and all to come across our borders; they will just come a differant route...through Mexico.

If our Politicians can not pass a bill on stopping illegal’s from crossing our borders before November, then we should vote the incumbents out no matter which party.  Its about time they start listening to their constituents.
