The day after a 6-year-old North Port girl was found dead in a wooded area near her home, the state took custody of her four brothers and sisters.

This is how messed up DCF is and the state. I would not trust any of these agencies that have this kind of power. The media will not investigate DCF or even Child Support Enforcement and it is a racket. money generating revenue for the state and they hide behind “it is for the kids”.
They exploit our children too and use the unfortunate situations of divorced families to take financial advantage and not just on the fathers, but the mothers too.

I Live a few streets away from this tragedy. If the parents are not in involved then the county or state had no right to traumatize them anymore than they already are.

DCF and other officials always do this kind of heartwrenching process when there is a death. I had a friend who’s child died of SIDS, they made her feel like an axe murderer. In this case I don’t feel they acted appropriately by taking the children, afterall they were at the grandparents home and already under the spotlight on top of their grieving this was just uncalled for.

I saw the news footage this morning of the DCF van driving off with the kids in the van and the poor grandma chasing after them. It broke my heart. I am just so glad they are back with their parents. It seems to me that their world has been turned upside down enough as it is. I hope that they find the maniac responsible for this terrible crime.

I don’t agree with the government stepping in at all or the media reporting it. Up until (’if’
there is some rock solid evidence against the family, some situations should be handled with a little more privacy and respect for the family. All this serves to do is anger the public and strip away the family’s dignity, thereby serving no useful purpose.

THIS IS SO WRONG FOR THE STATE TO TAKE THE CHILDREN FROM THERE PARENTS! ISNT LIKE THE PARENTS HAVE ENOUGH ON THERE MINDS AND THEN THE STATE TAKES THE OTHERS WHEN THEY SHOULD BE WORRYING ABOUT WHO KILLED THIS POOR CHILD!

I can understand why they take them, ar first. The authorities have to protect them and be sure the family had nothing to do with the murder. Glad they are home! It’s a shame pedophiles get a second chance to kill the kids, and put families in this situation.

I recant my previous statement...this family looks, sounds and act like freaks. I’m sorry but should this ever happen to my child I wouln’t be able to speak on camera or in a court room. What’s really suprising is the home the famiy lived in...if I were blind and listening to this on TV I would have thought we had a trailer park right in the middle of Polk County. My prayers are with this poor child Coral Rose and her siblings, but than again one sibling was 21...doesn’t anyone in the family know what & where poop goes??
