ANNA MARIA - Authorities are investigating the death of a 47-year-old woman found with a gunshot wound to her head Monday afternoon. The woman was shot at a house in the 500 block of South Drive on the northern tip of Anna Maria Island.
Paramedics took her to Blake Medical Center about 2:30 p.m. She died there, sheriff’s Sgt. Rod Turner said. Deputies sealed off the house as a crime scene. Property records show the house is owned by Joseph P. Ungvarsky, 50.
