TAMPA - A day-care employee was raped on her way into work Thursday morning, and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating.
At 5:50 a.m., the victim had just arrived to open the Children’s Lighthouse Day Care Center, 7415 Destin Drive. A man walked up behind her with a knife, forcing her inside.
He demanded money, and when she said she had none, he sexually assaulted her, according to the sheriff’s office.
During the attack, a second employee arrived and found the door locked. She started knocking on the door, possibly startling the rapist, who ran out a side door and headed south.
Anyone with information about the crime can call the sheriff’s office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 873-8477.

"Anyone with information about the crime contact authorities”.... ok, how about a description of the rapist, that might help to offer information, duhhh.
