ST. PETERSBURG - Rain hasn’t deterred hundreds of music fans from coming out to the Warped Tour at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg.
Gates opened at around 11 a.m..
The tour features seven stages with nine bands set to appear on each stage. The last band stops playing at around 8:45 p.m. The day of festivities is on schedule so far.
For those who want more than just music, the tour also has multiple vendors. There is a comedy stage and a skate ramp. There will be skating and wrestling demos.
At The Music Saves Lives booth, concertgoers can sign up to donate bone marrow. Those who sign up receive VIP access to today’s events. So many people have already signed up today, those working the booth have lost track of the number.
It’s a diverse crowd with ages ranging from teenagers to thirty-somethings. Some concertgoers have dreadlocks and mohawks. A lot of them are wearing black or pink t-shirts. One surprising thing many concertgoers don’t have: umbrellas.
