TAMPA - Fire investigators are looking for a teen who left a store’s bathroom shortly before a fire was discovered inside, officials said.
A manager at the Borders Books & Music, 909 N. Dale Mabry Highway, put out the small fire and called Tampa Fire Rescue shortly before noon. A soap dispenser had been set on fire, causing about $3,000 worth of damage, fire officials said.
Security cameras in the store filmed a teenage boy going into and then leaving the men’s restroom shortly before the fire was discovered. Investigators want to talk to him about the fire.
He is described as having a thin build and long, straight, medium-brown hair. He was wearing a headband, gray T-shirt, dark pants and black shoes, possibly Vans.
Anyone with information is asked to call (813) 232-6805 or (813) 274-7000.
