TAMPA - Former Tampa Preparatory School swim coach Kimberly Brabson III has been sent back to jail, a day after 19 felony counts of “promotion of sexual performance by a child” were added to the charges against him.
He is being held on $95,000 bond, jail records show.
The new charges are in addition to 11 counts of video voyeurism, with which Tampa police charged Brabson in January.
The new charges each come with $5,000 bond.
Prosecutors had said Brabson, 29, was expected to surrender to authorities today on felony charges accusing him of secretly videotaping 18 underage girls changing clothes.
Police said they recovered a videotape from Brabson’s school office that recorded girls ages 11 to 15 as they undressed, some of them removing their underwear. The girls are filmed from the neck to the groin, police said.
The second-degree felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison, applies to anyone who “produces, directs, or promotes” any play, motion picture or other visual representation of sexual conduct by a child under 18, according to state statutes.
Brabson had been free on $50,000 bail on the voyeurism charges, records show.
