RUSKIN - Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has now issued a warrant for the arrest of Jarvis Tabron, 35, for first degree murder in connection with the homicide of Luis A. Escobar, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives worked throughout the day at the victim’s residence and based on evidence found at the scene and bloody fingerprints matching those of Tabron, according to an HCSO media release.
The victim had suffered stab wounds.
Tabron is described as a black male, 5’5”, 180 lbs., large build with black hair and brown eyes, according to the release.

Tabron lived at the home for approximately a week, she said.
According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Tabron was released from state prison on July 1.
In 2004, he was convicted of strong-arm robbery in Hillsborough County. A judge suspended a prison sentence and placed him on probation.
On May 23, Tabron was booked into Orient Road Jail on a probation violation. Jail records show he’d been living in Virginia. Two weeks later, another Hillsborough judge sentenced him to 25 months in prison on the original conviction.
He remained in prison for 11 days. A message left for DOC officials was not immediately returned.
Detectives are withholding the name of the tenant who found Escobar’s body some time before 5 a.m. The tenant had gone into Escobar’s bedroom to wake him and called 911 after he wouldn’t respond.
Detectives obtained a warrant to search the property nearly four hours later, she said. They discovered Escobar had suffered trauma to the upper body, but Carter declined to elaborate further.
Neighbors who spoke to the Tribune said they hadn’t heard any suspicious noises overnight or that morning.
Aristides Rivera said he’d spoken to Escobar occasionally and didn’t know of any troubles the man or his tenants were having.
“He was really a happy man, a good man,” Rivera said. “I’ve never seen any of them mad. They always seemed to get along.”
He said Escobar was originally from Colombia, worked for a boating company and was often away. When he was home, he could often be seen planting flowers and plants, Rivera said.
Anyone with any information reference the whereabouts of Tabron is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
